First presented at the Venice Biennale in 2007, Take Care of Yourself is Sophie Calle’s response to a break up letter she received whilst living in Berlin. Her lover ending the letter with “Take care of yourself”. And so she did. Calle shared the letter with 107 women, asking them to interpret it, to answer it for her. This book is the culmination of the project, and Calle’s way of taking care of herself.
